George Brammeier, MA, MBA
Vice Board Chair

Driven to serve his stakeholders and generate unparalleled value, George’s goal is to lead and develop healthy, cohesive, gritty teams. He currently work as a Manager of IT Service Line Solutions at HCA Healthcare where he is responsible for evaluating, deploying, and supporting Corporate Women's & Children's, Neurology, Cardiology, and Post-Acute/Skilled Nursing Care Service Line IT initiatives.

Having held the role of a project manager and product owner, George has refined expertise in numerous facets of healthcare IT including: business cases, contracting & planning, workflow analysis, application security, network & infrastructure, integrations, UI/UX, testing, reporting & analysis, service management, regulatory, and more. From complex clinical integrations to large-scale financial implementations, his realistic, optimistic, and nuanced work philosophy has led to timely delivery, customer satisfaction, and stakeholder value.

Sue Dunlap, MBA, SHRM-CP, PHR
Secretary

Sue is an experienced Human Resources executive with expertise in transforming organizational cultures, talent acquisition, and leadership development. Her career spans diverse industries where she has successfully led HR strategies aligned with business goals, enhanced employee engagement, and driven operational growth. Sue specializes in strategic HR planning, mergers & acquisitions, compensation & benefits management, and compliance with labor laws. Her passion is to create people-focused workplaces that empower teams to thrive and deliver exceptional results.

Miranda Nunn Smith, CPA
Treasurer

Miranda is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Audit Senior at Bennett Thrasher, a role she has excelled in for over five years. Specializing in audit services, Miranda has developed a deep expertise in providing strategic financial insights and ensuring compliance for a diverse range of clients. Her keen attention to detail and commitment to excellence have contributed to her success within the firm.

Tracey Wallace, MS, CCC-SLP

Tracey Wallace, MS, CCC-SLP, FACRM oversees therapy operations, program development efforts, and research initiatives as the Therapy Manager and Projects Coordinator for the SHARE Military Initiative and Complex Concussion Clinic programs at Shepherd Center where she also serves as the Associate Director of the Mild TBI Brain Health & Recovery Lab. Tracey has over 25 years of experience helping people with brain injury maximize participation at home, work, school, and their community. She has worked at Shepherd Center since 2002 and has held other roles, including Speech-Language Pathologist, Projects & Education Coordinator, and Clinical Research Scientist.

Tracey currently directs several grant-funded research projects centered around optimizing rehabilitation outcomes, enhancing best practices in rehabilitation of cognitive-communication, and developing accessible rehabilitation interventions for people with brain injury and posttraumatic stress. She has extensive experience presenting and publishing about brain injury rehabilitation, teaching and supervising graduate level university students, and serving in leadership positions within national organizations, such as the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine.

Mark Gannon, Esq.

Mark Gannon is a retired Partner and former Managing Partner of Savell & Williams, where he practiced law for more than four decades and led the firm from 1984 to 2021. A highly respected authority in Georgia workers’ compensation law, Mark is widely recognized for his professional excellence, integrity, and leadership within the legal community.

Throughout his career, Mark received numerous honors, including an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, designation as a Georgia Super Lawyer since 2005, and the Distinguished Services Award from the State Bar of Georgia Workers’ Compensation Section. He has served in multiple leadership roles within the State Bar of Georgia, on state advisory councils, and as a Fellow of the College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers.

Mark has also demonstrated a longstanding commitment to nonprofit and community service, including board leadership for organizations supporting individuals with brain injuries and children of injured workers. Now retired from active practice, he continues to contribute his experience and insight as a valued member of the Board of Directors.

Rosten “Chinny” Law, Esq

Chinny exclusively handles catastrophic, neurological, and orthopedic injuries that stem from workplace accidents. She represents clients who suffer from multi-level spinal injuries, closed head trauma, skin and tissue burns, upper/lower extremity pathology, amputations, and other surgical matters.

She is committed to rigorously advocating for injured workers’ rights and establishing highly personalized working relationships with my clients. As a former workers’ compensation paralegal, conflict resolution scholar, and instructor at the university level, Chinny is uniquely postured to empathize with my clients, and effectively communicate with adverse parties. It is her pleasure to represent Georgia's working class against insurance abuse!

Michelle Thompson, Esq., CFP, CDFA, CTFA

Michelle is a former attorney and wealth manager whose professional career focused on providing comprehensive legal, financial, and investment guidance to individuals and families. In her work, Michelle built deep, trusted relationships with clients and played a meaningful role in many of the most important decisions of their lives.

In August 2020, Michelle sustained a traumatic brain injury as the result of a serious car accident. Following extensive cognitive and physical rehabilitation, she found community and renewed purpose through Side by Side, where she connected with others who shared similar lived experiences. Since joining the Board of Directors, Michelle has become a passionate advocate for individuals living with brain injuries and their families.

Nathaniel Hansford, Esq

Nathaniel F. Hansford is the managing partner at Hansford McDaniel Workers’ Compensation Attorneys. He is a top-rated, well-respected workers’ compensation lawyer in Atlanta who tirelessly fights on behalf of his clients. Prior to serving as a workers’ compensation attorney, he spent over five years defending insurance companies against plaintiff claims. This experience gave him great insight into how the opposition thinks. He uses this knowledge to better prepare each case. This is often a very difficult time in an individual’s life. Executive Director (CEO)

Bryan Schroeder is one of Georgia’s leading nonprofit executives, with more than 20 years of experience in strategic planning, relationship-driven fundraising, and mission-focused storytelling.

As Executive Director of Side by Side Brain Injury Clubhouse, Bryan guides the organizations strategic growth, fundraising and community building efforts with the goal of creating pathways to community, purpose, and hope for survivors of stroke and brain injury through the ABI Clubhouse model. Previously, Bryan held senior leadership roles at The Georgia Conservancy and Giving Kitchen.
