Inspired by our Clubhouse’s monthly game nights, this special night is hosted by Side by Side participants - men and women rebuilding their lives after brain injury - alongside their families, neighbors, and supporters from across the community. Big Game Night is an accessibility-friendly and disability-inclusive celebration. Brain and spinal cord injury survivors are enthusiastically invited (caregivers are required to attend and encouraged to join the fun!)

When: Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Where: Stone Ridge Event Center, 1750 Stoneridge Dr. A, Stone Mountain, GA 30083

Tickets: $25 per person, $10 for children ages 6 and up, kids ages 5 and under are free

Q: What is Big Game Night?
A: A family-friendly, accessibility-forward evening from the members and staff of Side by Side. It's a bigger version of the game night our members host at the Clubhouse every month. Expect a BYOGame hour, a buffet dinner from Ford's BBQ and a live game show with prizes, led by The Big Game Show.

Q: You keep saying "members." Who are they?
A: Our members are adults rebuilding life after a stroke or brain injury. Members and staff work together to keep Side by Side running, and every member has a say in how the Clubhouse operates. Some members stay a few months, some a few years, some longer. There's no time limit, because there's no one right path forward after a brain injury.

Q: What games should we bring?
A: Your favorite card or board game. The room will have tables for games plus separate tables for dinner, and if you'd rather set up your game at your dinner table, go for it. We'll also have Connect Four sets, Uno decks and standard playing cards on hand. If you or your loved one needs a card holder, reply to this email and we'll have one ready.

Q: Where do we park?
A: As you drive down Stoneridge Drive, you'll see a big blue water tower ahead. Stone Ridge is the last building on the left in the complex. Turn into the lot before the water tower, or circle the tower and turn in from there. There's plenty of accessible parking on site. Q: What's for dinner?
A: Ford's BBQ is serving a buffet of BBQ chicken or pork, mac and cheese (V), collard greens (V), slaw (V), cookies and banana pudding. Need a vegetarian entree? Reply to this email and we'll set one aside. Side by Side members, caregivers and guests with accessibility needs will be invited to go through the line first, at 5:00 PM. We will have two buffet lines - a line with scooping assistants and “self portion” line accessible by both sides (please serve yourself with moderation - seconds available!) 

Q: What is The Big Game Show?
A: A nationally recognized live game show that runs on audience participation. Some games the whole room plays together, some feature teams and some pull individual players from the crowd. Come ready to play.

Q: Wait, you said prizes?
A: Yup. We'll give away prizes during The Big Game Show, everything from restaurant gift cards to Nerf blasters, it's going to be a blast!

Q: Attire?
A: Casino casual: as casual as you'd dress for a Saturday afternoon with friends. Come ready to relax.

Q: Beware of sharks?
A: 100%. The members, staff and board of Side by Side are a welcoming bunch... until the cards drop. Learn the Uno table rules before you sit down, and don't say we didn't warn you.

WHAT BIG GAME NIGHT MEANS TO OUR MEMBERS
"Big Game Night is a chance to amp it up and invite other people to have some of the same fun we have here at the Clubhouse during our monthly game nights. I am thrilled for Big Game Night. I can't wait! I've been texting as many people as I can think of to come."

"Big Game Night? Yes, we get to play games and stuff like that, but it also helps us raise funding for people with brain injuries, support each other, and build more cognitive skills. We get to meet new people in our community. It's nice to connect with others and see people willing to support our Clubhouse."

"What does Game Night mean to you? Camaraderie. Fellowship. Hanging out with friends who have the same injury as me, enjoying good food, and having fun. How BIG is Big Game Night going to be? I hope we get a lot of random people, in the sense that they learn who we are and come back to sponsor Side by Side and hang out more."
