Heather Miller
Board Chair

Heather has served on the Side by Side Board of Directors for three years and became Board Chair in July of 2025. She brings more than a decade of experience within Emory Healthcare, having worked in several clinical and business development roles before transitioning into healthcare IT, where she now leads a Patient Access team. Across her career, Heather has focused on improving access, reducing barriers, and building systems that optimize process to better serve both patients and communities.

Fostering a sense of belonging is deeply important to Heather, and she is passionate about Side by Side’s mission to create safe, affirming spaces where individuals can find connection and community. She is proud to support an organization that leads with compassion, inclusion, and impact.

When she’s not working, traveling, or volunteering, Heather can usually be found spending time with “her girls” — two lovable pit bulls who keep her laughing.
