Karen Jackson
Compliance Manager

Karen is a dedicated Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). She began her career in child welfare with the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) and worked in both Fulton County and DeKalb County. After completing a Master of Social Work degree, Karen co-founded and served as Executive Director of a non-profit foster care agency in the Metro-Atlanta area for 23 years. The agency served an average of 80 children in foster care and managed a donation center providing free clothes and supplies.

Several years ago, Karen was introduced to Side by Side Founder and now former Executive Director, Cindi Johnson, which led to a partnership and long term volunteer work site for Side by Side Members in the donation center. Karen supports the mission of Side by Side and is excited to serve in the role of Compliance Manager. She enjoys traveling with family.
